The woman behind Wisdom Nutrition

I'm Monique Flanigan, a certified Nutrition Consultant with a passion for helping women feel strong, clear-minded, and energised - especially through the transitions that come with age.

Before nutrition, I worked in Film and TV and earned a Bachelor of Arts. But my passion for food and health led me back to university, where I completed a Bachelor of Food Science and Nutrition at La Trobe University.

Nutrition is powerful—it fuels energy, strengthens immunity, supports mental clarity, and helps prevent chronic conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. For women over 40, it becomes even more important: hormonal changes, shifts in metabolism, gut health, and mood can all feel unpredictable. Food can either support those changes - or work against them.

Many people believe they “know what to eat,” but science goes deeper than just cutting carbs or eating more greens. Your body has different needs depending on your age, lifestyle, and health history.

By nourishing your body in the right way, you can build a healthier, more vibrant life. Good gut health alone can improve your skin, slow ageing, lift your mood, sharpen your mind, and give you the energy to do the things you love.

As a woman in my 40s, I know how challenging it can feel when your body starts changing in ways you didn’t expect. That’s why I’m so passionate about helping other women navigate this chapter with clarity, confidence, and support.
